Doing The Simple Things Brings Network Marketing Success

Some years ago, I had the pleasure of randomly running into a famous comedian. I was at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles having lunch with some friends. Over lunch, we were discussing the stressful relationship I was in at the time. I had gone outside to get something out of my car, when I noticed a familiar looking person walking towards me. As he got closer, I recognized that it was Rodney Dangerfield.

After a brief hello and some talk about the weather, he made the mistake of asking me what was going on in my life. My relationship woes were very raw that day, so I spent the next 10 or 15 minutes telling him my problems. (I figured I’d never see him again). He stood there and listened, and then said something extremely blunt.

I thought, “Well that makes sense.” With that very direct statement, he cut through all the crap and got to the core of the problem. It was a simple solution, nothing complicated about it. The point of my telling you this is that we humans usually always complicate things, especially in the area of network marketing success.

Focusing on the basics will bring you success

Like my friend and mentor Mark J always says, it’s important to “keep the main thing, the main thing.” Simple right? Now what is the main thing when it comes to network marketing? Talking to people. And by the way, the right people are everywhere. I mean, who doesn’t want to have more money and time freedom? Nobody I know! It just takes the proper skills in order to do this effectively and rejection free.

Don’t let your focus be pulled in different directions

This is important because what you focus on, is what you’ll get good at. Always focus on the income producing basics, i.e. talking to people. Then you’ll use the 80/20 rule to your advantage, instead of to your disadvantage with indiscriminate actions that waste your time and don’t move your business forward. The 80/20 rule says that 80% of your results come from 20% of your effort. Peter Drucker, a management theorist says, “what gets measured, gets managed.” Manage your time wisely, focus on the basics, and learn some new skills if you’re not getting the results you desire.

As eagles are designed to soar, you are designed to succeed. Desire always reveals design and destiny. You were not only designed to succeed, you were born with gifts and talents to help you succeed. Gifts like enthusiasm, persistence, the ability to get over things and FAITH. Believe you can do this, have some faith, and as Will Smith shares in the video below, “where you begin is NOT where you’ll end up.”

To your success,

Kathy
